We can slow our aging process by increasing and maintaining strength, flexibility and balance. To do this we have to move in ways that help develop and maintain strength, flexibility and balance. Some of what is accepted as natural aging is due to lack of movement and poor body mechanics. By practicing FUNctional Movement, we can enjoy life and stay active longer. In class, we practice Hatha Yoga laying on a mat to strengthen and release the muscles of the spine and Ball Yoga to increase range of motion and increase abdominal strength. We use yoga mats, physio balls and chairs. If you work with me, you will feel better than you do now. I can say this with confidence because it has happened for myself and my students.
If you have tried various exercise classes and the classes were too fast, too hard, or you got hurt, know that FUNctional Movement Classes are designed to be safe and beneficial for older bodies.
All classes and workshops are taught live on Zoom.
